Still fighting!

I honestly do not think that coming here to blog is the answer. But i just needed some time out. Just a little time. Is that how it feels like, being pushed over the edge? When all you could think of is how and when to settle stuffs? The worse part is these problems never. NEVER. stop flooding in, and then they just pile up. Next, after the waves of frustrations, you'll start feeling sorry for yourself. That's when the tears kicks in. And finally, you'll end up hating yourself for acting like a weakling.

Yeah. I wrote all that 3 hours ago. Had Bridie, my housemate, knocking on my door in the midst of all that blogging. Hopped over to her room, had caramel cake and loads of thoughtless chatter. And here i am. Back on my feet, fighting with all I have. I guess that's how friends come into the picture? Another lesson learnt!

Enough said. Time to get assignments done so that i can tick them off my longgg list before i hit the sack. 加油吧!

Figured out what the above title mean. Yeah. Exams. What else? And i'm still online? Because. I'm. Elsie.

Been nerding the whole of last week with Hazel, in Melb Uni's library for the whole of my SWOTVAC. They call study leave here - SWOTVAC. It means 'Study Without Teacher/ Vacation', I think. or something to that effect.

Went for Softball match on Sunday although I have a paper on Monday. Came back drenched as it was pouring. Was kinda afraid that I'll fall sick before my exams. I think Hazel has a point. I'm too relaxed about the exams. But i just needed a place to release stress. Anyway, at least I didn't regret going for the match. As it was the exam period, our team was 1 person short. Victory was sweet although we were only 1 point ahead of our opponent. C=

Monday. Had Psychology as my 1st paper. The exam was held in the Royal Exhibition Building. Exquisite building. Has an ancient feel to it. Inside, there's loads of paintings. There's plenty of space. It's an exam venue for 3000 students. Grandeur! Will go take some pictures before I go back to Malaysia for winter break.

Had Quantitative Methods (Math) on Wednesday and Microeconomics this afternoon. The wind was way too strong for my liking. It's freezing. Besides, it took me a couple of minutes longer to reach REB, opposing the wind. The papers I sat for so far are still alright, I think. Aikks. Don't think I want to do post mortem for those papers. I find it pretty useless as we'll only be getting marks back, not our papers.

Called Zetong just now as i received a pretty random message from her. Kinda made my day. I was super happy to end up talking to both Zetong and Wanying as they are on a bus back to JB. Sounds familiar aye? Been there, done that a few months ago (make that 7).

Oops. Supposed to be a short post. Wonder what happened.

PS. I just love catching up sessions. Can never get enough of it. I'll do that after my exams. For now, i needa focus. 3 down, 1 more to go. Go, me! C=

More updates~

Finally found some time to spare. Geez. Can't believe how busy I've been for the past few weeks! Daphne called yesterday. She said: 'Hey girl, how come you don't sound home sick at all?' I guess I had sooooo many stuffs to do that I was just going with the flow.

Just submitted my 8th assignment yesterday. Yeah. Another 1500 words. 2 or 3 more to go before finals! Have lots of assignments on top of my tutorial work. Finals is 1 month away. I think I'm gonna start my revision soon. Real soon. Oh no. Whenever I phrase it like this, I don't get anything done. Ahhahhha.

I had been super stressed out a few days back. There's so many things i need to do. Plus, I had no exposure whatsoever for accountings using IT. The lecturers kinda assumed that we have basics. Tried to get some of that assignment done last Wednesday. i realized that I couldn't even key in any form of answer, much less the right ones. Sigh. Thanks to Jing Yi, who taught me for a whole afternoon on Saturday. Now, I can at least key in some wrong answers. Hahhhaa. Some sort of improvement, no?

And then there was softball. 3 hours training a week. Another 4 hours for the winter league, which is every sunday. No doubt it's super fun. But when you have so many stuffs to do, being committed to the team is no joke. Yup. it's kinda cool and all having team mates who are Aussies, Canadians and even Americans. But I just ain't hyped about being the only Asian on the team. Lets just say, I'm still sticking out at odd angles when I'm with them. Our mindsets differ. But they're real friendly. Hope i'll fit in soon. =) Had our first game of the season last sunday. Tied it at 9 all.

See? that's basically what i've been doing the whole week. Boring right? Some busy and boring plus stressful life I've got.

Which reminds me. I've gotten my exam timetables already. Starting on the 7th, till the 15th of June. Most likely going back on the 21st. Will make a trip to kl. Already superrr excited just thinking of the air tickets. It's so cold here already. I'm hiding under my super warm blanket plus a sweater now. I think beggars will die here. ahahhhahha.

Wait for me! I'll be back soon. =)) Just another 1 and a half months. Whoots!

Warm Greetings From Melbourne

Time flies. I've been in Melbourne for more than a month! =) Homesick? Of course! But going with the flow of university life, there doesn't seem to be a moment to spare to just stop and think about how i feel. Life's pretty great here. At least now I know what it's like to start from scratch. When I was certain that I'm gonna further my studies in University of Melbourne, I only know 3 people who would be coming too. Best of all, none of them are taking the same course as me. Marvellous right? Yeah. I admire my guts too.

I truly learnt lots of stuff here. Before I came, I never once stepped into the kitchen to cook. *guilty look* After 5 days of intensive training from my mum when I first arrived in Melbourne, I cook for most of my meals. I've to say, some of the dishes looked yummy! But, the effort put into it is... Feels like war, every time I'm in the kitchen.

Hmm... the floor is sparkling clean. after sweeping and mopping the floor. I feel soooo much more comfortable. Folded my clothes too. Took me a whole hour to do them both! =(

Finally had the time to update my blog. Been so busy with assignments and tests. Just handed in a 1200 words essay for Accounting and done a test for Economics. Feels pretty weird as my brain cell's still full of sciences. Oh ya. I think I haven't told anybody yet. I'm majoring in Accounting and Management. Took Psychology as breadth subject. So, still learning about neurones and functions of each part of the brain. Interesting, but so many things I need to know.

Done quite a lot of fun stuff here, with visiting Philip's Island (saw mini penguins, wallabies, koalas), orientation, my room flooding, Moomba night, celebrating a friends birthday, exploring the city with friends I met here, Food and wine festival... It's like my weekends are always full of things to do. Been into the state library here too. Super GRAND! They have about 4 reading rooms. Each the size of Taylor's MPH, or bigger? They also have Newspaper room (where people just sit and read newspapers), places with loads of computers, and loads of book shelves (can't even finish looking at the book shelves, so let's not talk about the books there.)

Besides, I also found out what it's like to stay alone. Feels great to have housemates. =P Staying alone also means that I have to pay electricity bills, university fees, rent, groceries and all. Feels good. But as my cousin says: 'Of course good lah! Money come from your father what!' Hehhe. Hope my father won't see this.

Okay. Shall stop here. I have 2 more assignments (also 1200 words each) due next Wednesday. Can't wait for Easter holidays already. Pik Ching and Wai San are coming to Melbourne. Maybe I should go shop for chocolates. They are on sales now due to Easter. =) Plus, weather's getting colder. Good to keep some chocolates. That's all for now. Will try to update my blog more often.

Hey, gurls! =)

I went back to Convent to me with Wann Chiing to meet up with the teachers there. Nice to see these familiar faces again. Walked to whole school. We even went into the library. We saw our 'beloved' headmistress there. Sigh. Spent more than 2 hours in Convent.

Then, we head of to Pelangi. Met Yiyi at Seasons and have or lunch there. After that, we went to redbox for our k sessions. Except for being out of pitch, out of tune and out of rhythm, our singing was close to perfect. When Siew Lee and Audrey came along, yiyi had to go. Bagged 5 hours of k session with them.

Next, we went to f cube for dinner. F cube is a place where they have various types of board and card games from all around the world. I think it only exist in JB. We even managed to trick the waiter there thanks to audrey's superb acting skills.

They brought us a game where there are many jagged pieces like those in the game, tetris. except that it consists of 4 colours. We were also given a board and we had to chose a colour each. For this game, we are suppose to link the pieces together, edge to edge. This way, we can block the pathway of opponents. After playing for 3 times, we were bored and decided to play a trick on the people managing this place. Amazingly, we managed to fit ALL our pieces into the board. Then, we called one of the waiter over.

Audrey: Err. we got all out pieces in already. But we still dunno who lose.

Waiter 1: *Surprised look* is that how u all have been playing all along?

Siew Lee: Yalar. That fellow taught us. *Points*

Waiter 2 walks over, with a blur face. Waiter 1 and 2 were so fascinated with all the pieces we managed to fit in such that they went and show the rest of the waiters running the shop. Next thing we knew, they were busy taking pictures of it.

Waiter 2 walks over with another set of games.

Waiter 2: Ok. I'll teach u all this game instead.

Siew Lee: Will teach us wrongly like just now or not? *looks suspicious*

7th Jan

Went to subang with Daphne and Jessie. Real longggg bus trip. Daphne went to her friend's place.

8th Jan

Taylor's awards ceremony. Met Ms. Rajani and Mr. Ng, and of course class mates of G3. Met up with them in Sunway pyramid and off we go, to Steph's house for 'barbeque' dinner. 18 of us in her house. Vaguely remembered a conversation with Steph on msn, later that day.

Steph: my house damn small right?

Elsie: besides being able to fit 100 elephants, yup. ur house is damn small.

9th and 10th Jan

Hang out with Mei Yan. Brought my sis along. Went to my cousin's house in Klang, with my sister. My father came from johor, bringing with him my sis's luggage for the year. Yes, she's also doing SAM in Taylor's. 'Helped' her unpack her luggage when we are back in Subang. My father went back on the 10th. My sis's room mate checked in.

11th Jan

Brought my sis and her friends to Pyramid. Went for Avatar in 3D. Amazing effects though strenuous for the eye as the movie was 2 hours and 45 minutes.

12th Jan

Hang out with Joanne. We went for ice skating and a movie, Old Dogs. Yup. Fun day out.

13th Jan

Went and buy SAM books in Taylors. Taylors was like a flea market the whole day. Had loads of books to carry back at the end of the day. Managed to hitch a ride back to my sis's place, thanks to yu chuan. Went to shu ying's place after that with Jon, Chin Fei and Travis. Shu Ying too has a big, big house. Had dinner with them before they sent me back. And Jon had his super blonde moment with buttons in the restaurant. I walked into some car's side mirror. Hurts damn a lot lar. =( But real funny.

14th Jan

Help sell books while waiting for Kai Ping to sell hers. And we were off to KTAR. Made a blunder of UTAR and KTAR. Finally, we reached Zetong, Wan ying and Sin Ying's 难民厅 safely. Took a LRT and monorail to Sungei Wang to shop. Inserted monorail's card the wrong way, such that the gate just refuse to budge. Had the guard laughing at me.

15th Jan

Went to visit KTAR as Sin Ying managed to smuggle us in. Gave Zetong and Wan Ying a shock. They introduced their friends to us. Kai Ping was real funny. Kept saying that very long didn't see so many trees or come to 'kampung' when she was comparing it with Taylor's in Subang. Came back to Subang after that. Sin Ying was real kind to take me half the journey, as i was gong back alone. Reached back at about 12 noon. Took another bath, and went out with Chin Fei, Jon and Jay to Redbox in Sunway Pyramid. I think they are addicted to it already.

16th Jan

Went to my cousin's house in Klang again. Met all my cousins, aunts and uncles who are staying in Klang. Watched 'bodyguards and assassin' in Jusco. Bloody.

17th Jan

Waited for my father to finish his meeting. Went to Pudu bus station and here i am, back home.

Oh. I left my blog for 3 weeks. Pretty much proves that i'm so NOT addicted to blogging. Had a GREAT new year's eve this year. Manage to catch Wan Ying, Zetong and Jiayi before they go back to kl. We also managed to meet Jasmine and her group of friends when we were having dinner. And finally, countdown with Daphne's and my family.

New year resolution:
1. Shut up for a bit. (According to my friends and sisters, that's NOT possible.)
2. Increase efficiency, stop procrastinating. (Start by packing luggage bag)
3. Study hard, play hard in uni. (Yay! i'm going to uni)

Ok. Only three this year. Had a long list last year, but.... i think i failed half of it. =(
